I picked up a POI Airdrive Portable Wi-Fi Storage Drive a little while ago in a closing down sale. It has 64GB of storage and I would love to be able to use it on Sailfish devices.
The phone detects the drive in Wi-Fi settings and establishes a connection, but it stops there. Is it possible to get the phone to read data from the Airdrive? i.e Music, video etc via VLC/ QuasarMX etc.
Thanks in advance

Taking a complete wild guess, maybe you just need Samba on your Sailfish device?

If you turn off wifi, it acts as USB-Storage.
With WiFi, You need their App (Android/iOS only)

I checked out Samba, but it looks like it has security issues due to WannaCry and sharing issues.
PQI Android apps install but don't run as they drop straight back to home screen once the UI is loaded up. Not sure why, they don't need Google Play Services to run and I'm not sure if they'll have access to the Wi-Fi in Sailfish OS.
Thanks for the suggestions so far.

well, well, well. Since I have one laying in the dust.
I was digging it out from the grave, done some portscanning and bruteforcing and a bit of other dark magic.

samba should work

it also runs both an ftp AND a telnet server, and you can login to the drive. Quite handy, getting a linux root shell with just a few words to the troll.

root and 5up are the magic words

Admin/5up also is magic, and even better ap71 lets you get that magic without any password.

Have fun, but be carefull with your new powers.
