What’s the weight of Internet with ALL the data? 50 grams? Or was that before?

I think we might reached 100 grams by now.

We might need so much data in 2000 years that you will buy 1 gram instead mem size as today

Snow? Cool. In more than one way.

I feel suspicious on that memory to weight calculation. 4GB is 4GB, whether the information is meaningful in any sense or random junk. "Full" or "empty" makes no difference.

No, I am not saying that. I do not know enough to make that kind of statements. Please read my post carefully. I am saying that if information weighs something, then any information would weigh the same, whether it is "useful" or not. A 1MB file is a 1MB file, whether it contains a Shakespeare's sonet, a picture of a cat or random noise.

Same thing. One container or another. A bit of information is a bit of information, it weighs the same whether it is flipped this way or that.

Ah...
but what if that 1mb file contains the algebraic formula disproving said theory and therefore weighs in at exactly -0.000000000001 % less than the other said files that Dave is mentioning weighing in at plus said sum...
equating to a net gain of 0 ...
negating said weight gain (which I think is frankly ludicrous....I mean...it is like asking how much "any given thought" in the brain weighs.....but god I love the ludicrosity (?) of this type of thinking....)
thereby creating a paradox ...
at which point ...
hell becomes an ice rink and Schrodinger's Cat is simultaneously relieved and pissed off.
