Does anyone else struggle when entering passwords to logon to websites?

Most websites have case sensitive passwords that often have to be a mix of letters and numbers. But with the keyboard out I can't tell if I'm typiing letters or numbers successfully as all I see are asterisks in the field. I can't tell if the Fn lock or caps lock is on. This is one area where the on-screen keyboard is better. I've tried keeping passwords in a notes file and pasting them in but its not good for security. Any better ideas?

Open the note app, write your password, copy/paste in web browser, close note app without saving. I did this way for some tricky captchas.

Hi HowieG,

I don't have this problem.. when keyboard is open I get a grey toolbar at the bottom of the screen with word completion and to the right indicator shows 'abc', 'Abc', 'ABC' or 'Fn' - tapping 'Fn' twice makes it 'stick' and Fn is underlined. Is this feature somehow disabled on your N810? I bought my N810 in 3urope, Feb 08. Does this help?

I do the same exact thing as Lost. Way easier than copying and pasting like i did at first.

Ah! yes I remember that I used to see this too. It turns out that there is a control panel setting called Text Input Settings. The Language tab and settings button leads to an option called: Word Completion. If this is ticked then the grey panel appears as described above when the N810 keyboard is used. The strange thing is that the help section implies that this is for the on-screen keyboard and hand writing recognition only.

thanks for the tip!
