We (INDT) did the patch for the kernel, and added it to the official projects, etc...

We (INDT) did the patch for the kernel, and added it to the official projects, etc... then canola was since the beginning made with the possibility, so that's the good part, we don't need to do anything (at least in the basic of course there's a lot of work) to thing just "fit" to the screen
The thing was that people were talking that they would like to see canola on portrait mode, so other team here made it, we tested it and showed to people can see how it looks like, but it's not fully usable still, needs some tweaking (but the basic can be achieved with quite small work just on the theme)
