Hi,
I got a n800 and updated the firmware, my question is how do I save files (e.g. pidgin) onto the memory card instead of the built-in memory b/c whenever I install a software it ends up in the phone memory?
P.S. I put in 4gb and 128mb cards...

Thanks.

Extra software ist normally installed on the internal memory and I don't know how to change this. Do you need to store programms on the memory card?

If you want to save data files to the memory card (including data from applications such as maemo mapper), this should be simple. You should be "seeing" the memory card in file manager.

You can't. Unless you dump firmware on memory card and boot off that.

I think fanoush explained it the best when he said that extending rootfs (which is another way to do it) will break packages and dependencies by simply not having the same memory card in.
