The browser engine has been updated so that's already worth an update by itself.

That sounds a lot like the tablet, which also suffers from awful UI performance. Maybe it's a Qt bug that only shows itself on large resolutions? In any case, I've noticed that all parts of Sailfish will stutter to no end, but Android applications couldn't run smoother. If you pull up the Sailfish launcher on top of a running Android application, it'll be as smooth as it gets, but if you pull it up on a running Sailfish (Qt) application or any other part of Sailfish, it'll stutter and jerk like you wouldn't believe. Maybe the next Qt update will fix it, because it's obvious that it shouldn't stutter at all. The Jolla phone is more than five years old and - unless it runs out of RAM - the UI is perfectly smooth.

Please check:
du -xsh /var/lib/connman
for disk usage!

It cost me 100MB from precious rootfs on JollaC (which is now freshly recovered from a failed upgrade: so stay on 3.2.0.8 ).
At least now I enlarged and have 3.6G for rootfs.
Not that bad I think;
Code:
[nemo@Sailfish ~]$
[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ devel-su du -xsh /var/lib/connman
Password:
448K	/var/lib/connman

Sounds reasonable. I have 88kB with only the two networks I know I have connected to.
Strange bug then having affected only a few devices storing those hour/minute/second files for all networks the device had seen.

I just got an update for 3.0.3.10. It says 20MB at Xperia X.

edit: i see this at Together:
2019-05-29: 3.0.3.10 as an OTA update was released to all subscribers. XA2: issue with showing the calling line number fixed (all devices); improvements to Android Support of XA2. Flashing scripts of XA2 allow both vendor binaries (v16 and v17) now. Installable images for Xperia XA2 devices will become available at https://shop.jolla.com/downloads/ .

Yeah, and about 240MB on XA2.

Android stability on the XA2 seems much improved. Before, it was always a question whether an Android app could be reactivated once you've opened another app or simply swiped to the app switcher. I had to restart Android support very often.

Also, when stopping Android support, the display isn't turned off anymore.

WLAN in Android still seems a hit-and-miss. But since WLAN on my XA2 prevents the CPU from sleeping, causing battery drain, I've disabled WLAN anyway...

If only they could communicate this better.

Well that corresponds perfectly to the observation that on XA2 nearly all updated packages start with "alien-"

Also the thing with android apps not being able to keep the screen wake is solved. Overall it feels like running the android layer is not slowing down the system as much anymore. I had "do not start android layer on boot" actviated and thus could see the impact whenever an android app was started the first time after boot. Now with 3.0.3.10 running android support is much less "noticable" imo.

Hmm, after preparing for update and checking manually with version --dup it seems this 'update' for JollaC was a fake one, just incrementing the version number.
No new package besides downgrading tar and harbour-xxx from store!

So any JollaC user: no need, wait for next version...
