Hello,

I will be traveling to Denver on Monday for the week. I wanted to play around with Maemo Mapper while there. I have downloaded winmapper and downloaded the maps for the area's i wish to explore. I cannot however figure out how to get them to load in mm. I have searched and came up short on finding where exactly to put the files or how to select them as the default maps. Could someone please help me out or point me to a post i might have missed? I have the files on my N810 already.

Thanks in advance! =)

To get the maps for MM, just set the default location for the maps, under Maps, Manage Repositories, and then have it download the route. It will get the maps for you if you have "Autodownload maps" checked.

There are several alternatives for retrieving maps, all of which require access to the internet. In the "Maps" menu, there is a "Manage Maps..." menu item that will bring up a dialog that allows you to download maps either by rectangular area or along your current route.

The other option is to just enable "Auto-Download", and Maemo Mapper will download the maps on an as-needed basis, as you zoom and pan around the map. Like the other options, though, this requires access to the internet, which means you must be connected to the internet while you browse.
