Hello,

Newbie having trouble playing flac files on N800 (OS2008). Tried mediabox and mplayer and other file types worked in them. Hoping someone will know and tell me how to fix this, looked at Google but don't know what I'm looking for. Here's some of the output from: mplayer 01.flac (that's the name of the file):

Title: 1 Ghosts I
Track: 1
================================================== ========================
Trying to force audio codec driver family dspmp3...
Trying to force audio codec driver family libmad...
Opening audio decoder: [ffmpeg] FFmpeg/libavcodec audio decoders

MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: init_audio_codec
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.

Have you tried a different version of mplayer? mplayer can play FLAC just fine usually.

same thing happened to me.mplayer did not play flac

Hello. Updated MPlayer to version .26 and same message. Then downloaded a test file and that worked. So the problem is my files even though they work on desktop. Thanks for the replies!

I'll leave a comment in the mplayer topic to ask if it's possible for them to work
