^ Claws-mail isn't really a Maemo app.

It's also how stylus or finger drags translate (scrolling almost always triggers a selection).

And the icons are really tiny, even for the stylus:

The little pink thing I circled red is what I have to double tap to open/close a folder...

That said, it isn't unusable!
And I believe this is configurable, I jsut need some time to get in there.
And generally as mail clients go, claws is practically feature-complete.

yes double tap (click) with pen is hard, because you easily click some pixels different place. I hope that all programmers that use double click should implement that second click can be around 32 pixels from first click.

The pinephone is not the main target, the N900 and Droid 4 are big targets. We'll have another update post soon. I need to travel in a few days and have been busy, but we'll have one soon -- few days max.

hello community!!

I want to thank you all

I am a happy owner of a Droid4 with running on MaemoLeste 20200112 from a microSD card!

I need some help though:

1. what is the root password of my Leste?? ^_^
2. how could the OS be quicker have no lags? is there something we could do? is it only because of the GPU, PowerVR? or can we move the OS to the local storage or use a special type of SD card or ...?

Yes, it is because of the GPU, in the new image (which is about to be build), drivers will be installed by default. But if you feel brave, you can do so even now, you need to enable ascii-devel repo, apt-get update, apt-get upgrade and then install xserver-xorg-video-omap and pvr-omap4 packages. Keep in mind there are some rendering glitches.

well, I started with a "class 2" micro SD and switched now to a "class 10 U3 V30" and did noticed a better performance. what are the limit of the Droid4-on-board microSD-card-reader?

I do feel brave, but I should first configure my keyboard for vim use (...I am one of those...)

could somebody tell me how do I add a new key? for example ":"?

Is it possible to install the system straight onto the device, and not boot from a MicroSD?
(for the Droid4)
