Hi, I use often the absolutely wonderfull native kodi for sfos. I installed it on the geminipda and have one issue with the screen orientation.

Kodi starts always, only and fixed in landscape (90° rotation) mode. The geminipda uses landscape too, but the landscapeInverted (270°) variant. Is there a way to force kodi to use the 270° mode.

Thanks.

I tried to install kodi from openrepos using "pkcon install kodi" and I got the error: File './mw/armv7hl/libaudioresource-1.0.5-1.4.3.armv7hl.rpm' not found on 'https://releases.jolla.com/releases/2.1.4.14/jolla/armv7hl/'. Could somebody tell me what should I do?

Hey,

first of all, a thousand thanks for building Kodi for SailfishOS!
I installed it on my Gemini PDA and it works great.
Well, at least, allmost great.
I have some issues with a AddOn for German paytv (SkyGo).
I installed a couple of additional rpms which I borrowed from other distris:
kodi-inputstream-adaptive-2.4.2-1.fc30.armv7hl.rpm
libtommath-0.42.0-6.el7.armv7hl.rpm
libtomcrypt-1.17-26.el7.armv7hl.rpm
python2-pycryptodomex-3.9.7-1.el7.armv7hl.rpm
Now, some AddOns (e.g. "joyn", a VideoAddOn featuring free content, which is, however, still DRM protected through widevine) works great.
When using the SkyGo AddOn, Video playback starts for some seconds but then Kodi crashes with a segfault.
The Debug Log doesn't give any hint what is causing the crash.
This is what journalctl says:

You can try patchmanager and the Gemini screen orientation patch. You might have to activate advanced settings to install the patch since I might not be available for the current release (but still works when installed manually). Works great for me!

Thanks for your answer, krnlyng fixed it with the kodi release from May 2020 and not my patch for the gemini screen did it. My post was from 2018 and for the old kodi version.
And btw the patch 'Default allowed orientations patch' from elros34 is much better than mine. For the gemini just type: 'dconf write /desktop/sailfish/silica/default_allowed_orientations 8' to allow landscape inverted only.
