Nop, rootme does not work as passwd. My problem is that also the apt-get refuse to install packages. I lost the root access but, I would like to restore it without reflash all the devise. In fact, I search an hack to inject the command " initctl start sshd " without having root privilege and after I probably could repair the damage file from sftp. My config is the old 1.2 maemo version with some program like gcc g++ javac tclsh vim alarmed (sort of cron planner) gftp and the standard linux command. My N900 is stable except I can not be root to start sshd and set the clock.

Just download the deb, click on it via file manager and it should install.
Then 'sudo gainroot'

It seems I have lost capabilities for packages installations. The manager launches and crashes...

Additionally,
Code:
su
is available, but it says:
Code:
must be suid to work properly
A quick search wil tell you how to change that; caveat: you need to be root.

Hi,
I give you the conclusion of my unexpected fail.

That was effectively /etc/sudoers which was corrupted and RescueOs was perfect to fix the problem. Thanks again freemangordon.

But, Flasher3.5 does not work with Windows10 nor WindowsXp into a virtual machin. Luckily, 0xFFFF works very well under a virtual machin where fedora34_x86_64 is installed.

Thank you, folks.
