I was thinking about that ..

Interesting, I didn't know they had been dialing down business/ties to Russia for a few years already.
I hope they get rid of those Rostelecom stakes.

I don’t see how they can find a buyer. Obviously jolla has been available a long time and don’t know how many users they have and if they even sell any devices or only support some of the old Sonys. And regarding the Russian investment it still not clear to me if anyone actually use this in Russia or if it’s actually just the government’s plan. Maybe Coderus could explain if it’s used or not because I haven’t seen any news about the last 5 years. I got almost all jolla fanboys after me when I thought it was a bad idea to let Putin bail out the company. But if Apple and Plenty of android’s will withdraw maybe jolla could get some small sail as long as they have hardware available.

Kudos for your foresight - although even today I wouldn't say a Russian Telecom company - even if it's partially state-owned - "is Putin".
Apart from that all your questions are answered in the article. Asking them the way you do, I'm sure you didn't read it:

Jolla knows how many registered users it has, and judging from OS downloads on their sirte they also have a good idea how many unregistered users there are.
Jolla never fully relied on the smartphone OS market, they have always had a second leg to stand on:

“We have actually ramped down business and exports to Russia already in 2021,” CEO and co-founder Sami Pienimäki told TechCrunch. “Thus, the potential tech sanctions would not impact Jolla’s business anymore. In parallel, Jolla is growing in particular rapidly in the automotive sector, and it formed already significant part of our 2021 revenues.”
And lastly:

Yes, just hinting so far. I'm not worried that they'll find a way.

Anything more, I'd basically be quoting the whole article. Read it, it's not long.

But think about it. The top management of Rostelecom are on the list of shitshow-don’t-touch-list. Of course they can find investors but my point. Fewer people will pay them now or do buisniess as long as they are on the list.

Secondly. Jolla have had plenty of years to find investors and in my mind it’s not easier now.

Putin?
Rostelecom board of directors answers indirectly to the president of the Russian federation. Putin since he has to approve of the board. That means he is the top dog even if he isn’t running the business. So who want and can do business at the moment? I wrote about that back in the days but the Russian pages are slow so I can’t find it now or if they removed from Rostelecoms pages. Probably someone trying dos attack…

I don’t see anything that is new in that article. On the flip side they turned profitable? But I have no clue how and until then I assuming it’s just investment money.

The complement of matter is not light, Dave. It is energy. Dark energy exists.
