As a wild guess, an unresolved file system corruption after one of the previous USB disconnects? Just a hunch.

Thing is, it always runs fsck when I disconnect my N900, even if I use Safe Remove.

I know, that's how I read it the first time. What I meant is, sometimes in the past you removed it unsafely and corrupted the file system. That corruption has not been resolved and is still there.

This is what I guess is happening:
  • Upon plugging the N900 to a PC, the OS unmounts the MyDocs partition and presents it to the PC
  • Upon removing from USB, the OS tries to mount the MyDocs partition again
  • It fails due to the corruption and runs fsck
  • The corruption is probably not serious and fsck does not find any problems
  • The mount then succeeds
Please keep in mind that I have no proof, only a hunch. Pasting the result of the fsck here might help.

I am also taking a wild guess that you have not lost any data, is that right? If so, then the easiest option would be to copy everything to a safe place, format the partition, copy everything back. Alternatively, you can try this: https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.ph...44#post1440844

Did you format it on the device or on the PC (via USB)?
Can you do it in the command line and post the output?
