No, impossible.

I'm not sure. I managed to use whatsappweb with odroid version of Chromium 57 installed on EasyDebbie with Maemo 5/fremantle. It was very slow to use but atleast it was possible few years ago. Haven't now tried it with Leste and not sure if there are some changes in whatsappweb which would prevent it. If possible I think it needs device to be overclocked, right swap settings, high speed sdcard, fast internet connection and a right browser (not sure which would be the best). And it may still be reeeaaallly slow.

If this is your only reason to consider buying an N900, then you should absolutely not buy it at all. Apologies if it sounds rude, but it's the cold, hard fact

It is not the reason to buy it, but I get it that if whatsapp is neccessity then it may be reason not to buy.

Why would anyone want to use obsolete software and hardware as a modern smartphone replacement at this day and age?
So much unnecessary hassle and frustration without even getting extremely basic functionality.
Using older devices to enjoy and appreciate them while you have your primary smartphone in your pocket is really great, cause the moment you start getting tired you just turn it off and continue with your life. Otherwise it’s like you are purposely torturing yourself for no reason.

How about
1. If you don't accept terrms of use of some modern smartphones?
2. If you don't accept privacy terrms of some modern smartphones?
3. Freedom to make and/or install some new software?

1. Buy a pixel and flash Calix or any other privacy focused rom.
2. You have all the freedom in the world to install whatever you want.

What kind of privacy are we talking about with a device like N900 today though? So many scripts and apps from random places to make it somehow work, an old browser susceptible to thousands of exploits, mostly sms that is the worst thing for privacy and basically no modern VPN app.

I don’t challenge anything. It’s just that personal preference is different from reality.
One guy asks for WhatsApp on N900 and he sold his 10 years ago, so I assume that he probably has no clue what hardships he has to go through today just to search through the browser for example, the most basic of the basics of a smartphone, let alone IM’s etc.

Other than that, I said clearly how I enjoy legacy devices without headaches while living in 2023. Then people start asking questions like the above and I answer them.
If someone doesn’t want answers to his questions, why ask?
