I totally agree with you, This device including Nokia N9 are best innovation and a bliss from NOKIA before they have screwed it up and moved to Microsoft and from Microsoft to rock bottom.

I am using this device for calling and texting and as a secondary devices and it works like a charm.

It was only the modem module de-balling that forced me to the Pinephone which I was not quite ready to everyday drive. Can you imagine if Nokia/Maemo had kept at providing a real Linux experience and not Android/WebOSing down the experience.
Behold, an unthinkable future...

Heh, he downloads Lost..... whew, where did the time go?......
Why did that show never answer any of it's own questions?
Netflix and Chill(OVI & chill?) before it's time eh'?

I wish I could find that prototype pic in the forums of the Vertu N900-like Nokia slider(was supposed to be Linux) with the black titanium case, hardwood trim, and sapphire crystal glass, another unthinkable future.

Someone at Nokia was trying to send us a message with the Nine trailer, end of the world and all. Who didn't delete this from your phone?

German news site Golem even wrote a long article on the anniversary:
https://www.golem.de/news/nokia-n900...11-181759.html

They even linked this strange adventisment from back then

The author was open to fix a small error in the article and even expressed interest to make a podcast episode with the Leste developers. That would be awesome!

What are you using the N900 for these days?

I can't seem to get it to do much now outside of local (none network related) stuff like games and media.

With Leste, i use it for writing/compiling/uploading stuff, rss, music, calls, sms, emails, telegram (messages, few calls, files sharing), facebook messenger (but now my account is locked), chatgpt4, irssi and many command line tools.
