light and useful, not too tough to add in auto-gps grab to this, I think it is QPE so old QT but is nice and lightweight.
So I had a look for petittrack and ported it to qt5 and yes it is lightweight. But many qt related stuff must be changed. It has also many buffer size problems and buffer overflow. The creator liked very much sprintf for string related things. More work on this needs to be done.

At the moment it has same size and same functionality and it doesn't crash anymore. Auto-gps could be implemented, but at the moment the application needs to be restarted if you change your location config data, so a reinit function must be written. Need to see how easy it is to implement it.
I increased the amount for satellites from 50 to 99.

In general the UI is to small, I will try with scaling and see if it is looking ok.
Otherwise all the map and drawing part needs to be rewritten which it is time consuming.
I will attach a debs (compiled on droid4 and pinephone) for interested people. It is really funny to see this software from 2003 running on leste.

You need to put a nasatle.txt file into MyDocs, I used amateur radio.

nasatle file

manual

Hope to create a usable app to upload it to maemo leste extras in the future.

What is even wilder is this app skipped the N900 and maemo 5; it is from the old Sharp Zaurus Linux PDA series!!
I will give it a try on mobian later this week.
I miss Petittrack, fun times with a dual band radio, a big handheld hand aimed homemade yaggi antenna and my Zaurus/Petittrack guiding my aim making cradio contacts via the space station and low orbit FM radio satellites.

Indeed scaling seems wrong but the UI works fine on N900 with Leste btw

Oh no it is not intended to be tested on mobian. Please give maemo leste a try. It runs nice with devel activated.

Code:
deb https://maedevu.maemo.org/leste chimaera-devel main contrib non-free pinephone
And yes the armhf file is also for the N900 not only Droid4.
Now I implemented scaling. You need to start it in landscape for make it properly work. In principle it should work on any device checking the resolution and scaling the app.
