I have Sprint (USA) service. I have an LG phone. I have paired the phone to the N800. I have them 'trusted'. I go to connect and get a connection error. I tried changing 'data packet' to 'data call' and still no connection. I blanked out the password and user and just left #777. I saw the #777 pop up on the cellphone but then the N800 says no connection again. Ugg. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!!

I believe it may have something to do with your carrier. The reports I've read about Sprint CDMA phones had to do with a hack found on a Sprint users forum that allowed the phone "tethered" access. Although BT is not tethered, the same hack applies to the phone and it allows access to the DATA network from the phone side.

It sounds like the N800 is seeing and sending OK and the phone is doing what it's supposed to for a BT connection. They phone may not know where to go for DATA and so it says C'ya to the attempt.

You might need to use your Sprint Vision / Power Vision username and password. This can vary by models and between Vision (classic 3G data service) and Power Vision (EV-DO).

Your Vision / Power Vision login is the same as you use on the Sprint website.

Sprintusers.com is the best place to find more information on your specific phone.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did try changing the password and user to my Sprint on-line logon but that still gave me the same error response. I tried changing from packet data to data call...still no help. I'm not thrilled I cannot connect via a phone but oh well...

you can disable the nai modeom to use phone as modoem (pam) for. just dont get caught.

you can tell sprint that you want to enable incomming calls while browsing the web, and they'll give it to you. This is also known as DOTM.

To get to this menu, goto Settings, Display, then hit * and type in your MSL. All you can change with your MSL here is the DOTM, and Modem NAI which let's Sprint know wheather or not to bill you when you use the phone as modem service. I disabled both of them :P

Or alternitavely, you can type ##MSL# from the start screen as if you would normally dial a number, then it may ask for a pass code, so put in your MSL once more. From here, you can view your Phone Number and MSID. Or, you can also change your MSID. Remember to only change it to a different value at your own risk.

This code can also be used to access the phone's hidden directories and service options via-Qualcomm's software, QPST. You will also need the Samsung Phone as Modem Drivers installed for this to work. Please also keep in mind that any drivers/software for the A900/M will work on the M500. Thus, you want to find the A900/M driver. While you're at it, check out a place called a900upload.com for instructions of program installation via this method, as well as a large bank of uploaded files that you can install. Alternetavely, you can upload your own files here, and it will compile it for your phone.

Hi I had a similar problem with my Cell phone and I had found a solution in a great tech support forum. It had a huge knowledge base of consumer electronics products and free live chat support. I highly recommend it!

Good luck

Back to OP - do you have a plan that includes data or SERO?

What model LG phone? Obviously BT but wonder if it can do dun? not all phones can although seeing the #777 on the phone is a good sign.

"Hack" mentioned I believe only works with Samsung and probably won't work on you LG phone.

Sprint will not give the MSL. When you activate a phone with them by calling they give you the MSL - they have you enter it on the phone to get to program mode.

[quick rant mode] When will there be a bluetooth/modem/phone forum for questions like this instead of the being under many different forums[end rant]

I got Sprint to give me my MSL, but the Samsung 520 does not have the NAI on/off toggle. Any suggestions?
