http://www.nseries.com/nseries/v3/me...wme_en_R1.html confirms "seamless software update" with the Maemo 4.1/Diablo update. No more reflashing :-)

Unsurprisingly, no mention of PIM apps :-/

Heh. It's the N800 all over again.

EDIT: Yep. The N810 WiMAX Edition comes with a different car holder: the CR-107.

But Nokia's calling it by no such abbreviation.
You're right about these points — the material from Nokia identifies it at every juncture by the "WiMAX Edition" suffix. "WE" is my own shortening.

Nokia's pretty insistent about including the "edition" when it tacks on one of these types of names on its phones (eg, the "N80 Internet Edition" phone). So I went with the long form.

/me secretly hopes this is all the hardware being announced. Buyer's remorse sucks.
(And I've already seen too much of the beautiful N810 shape...)

The software changes sound good!

Interesting. I don't see it there at all.

thoughtfix hinted that diablo would include something that we have been waiting for, so if there is no pim, my money is on the poorly-worded mention of skype video.

I'm not seeting any new photos via this link.

Since Nokia kindly supplied two pix just before 2:00 p.m., I've posted the second one on the front page so you can see whatever it is you can see.

So, the WiMAX vs. Wifi penalty is 25% battery life, still the same battery. Reference
