Hello,

I have a relatively new Nokia n800 (about 2-3 months old). I've just now tried to use the Mic for the first time (with Skype) and I can't get it to work. The speakers work fine, but nobody can hear me (and I've tested by calling myself too). Nothing.

I can't find any settings for the microphone anywhere on the Nokia or even in a help menu.

I'm not sure if its just simply broken or if I need to do something?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Did you try recording anything with maemo-recorder?

I'm thinking that maybe a firewall setting is blocking your outgoing connections to those specific ports and you assume it's the mic.

I have same problems .. In skype mic not works... Maemo recorder mic works perfectly.. Where can problem ??

The problem could be maemo recorder. I've seen it mentioned some time ago that after maemo recorder was installed the mic quit working in skype.

Has there been any progress on this issue? i'm having it too, do i just have to uninstall the recorder....?

yes, rats. so is there a fix for that? I like the recorder function, very useful....
