It's a shame that most people don't think before they say.

I had the wrong price up. It doesn't matter if it's unopened or not, it's the condition its in and how well it still functions. Unopened or opened either way its still works the same.

I would know this from running a business on eBay and experience from owning a gas station. I'm not angry its just...think before you say.

Wrong. Because we don't know, can't know, that it really is like new. The value to us naturally reflects the risk of it being worh less than anticipated.

Hmm... if running an eBay business makes one know this, then why are all the other eBay businesses so careful to say NIB?

Oh, and did your gas station sell used gas that was still in good condition and functioning well? (Sorry, couldn't resist that one.)

When it works, However:
1. The limited warranty for the Product extends for ONE (1) year beginning on the date of
the purchase of the Product. This one year period is extended by each whole day that the
Product is out of your possession for repair under this warranty.
2. The limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser ("Consumer") of the Product
and is not assignable or transferable to any subsequent purchaser/end-user.
And your warranty is?

I humbly disagree. A new car driven out the lot depreciates to half, most of the time.

I have no comment on the price, I just want to make a point about NIB. You can advertise about guarrantee NO POWER ON issue (if you already use it), as my NIB bought from Buy.com 2 weeks ago came with POWER ON issue as a bonus .

You all are right at most, not that saying what you say is wrong. Where I say "Think before you say" is not to think of the exact possible results. It's just that I don't like it when some people who just busting out like that.
For example, I did, when I said my father owns a gas station and from experience know how to sell. How does that relate? See I talk non-sense too, I at least don't say "you're wrong I'm right," everyone is right and wrong at some extent. A wrong in one person's eye is different in the others, but there is a common wrong and right that everyone knows.

@Benson:
You can predict to what a person would think. Why do you think I put "think?" It's analyzing the outcomes, no one can know the exact outcome but they can at least identify them. You have to have a conscious mind to some extent of reasoning. Everyone makes rational decisions, its just common sense. When it's stated its new then it has to be new as long its a business, that is why I provided my eBay feedback. So you can know at some point. Why would you buy something that doesn't meet your values? That's just stupid.

As for eBay, it is a policy for an item to be described as much as possible. Some sellers put NIB to attract customers, they could have listed it in the description as being NIB. Why wouldn't they put NIB, they attract more sales. A business is all about making profits or its not a business.
As for mine, it has been used and is not "NEW" but "Like New."Why shouldn't they put NIB, why would they put USED when its not used?

As for the gas station. I've seen this as I work at my Dad's gas station and will be ready to take it in a short while. You see a new BP station at one side and you see an old Exxon station at the other. One has new pumps with Credit Card system integrated, the other has old pumps with no Credit Card machines which one would most pick? Our gas station was an old Shell going against a newer BP station and a newer independent station. The BP and other station were receiving more customers even though our gas was 7-9 cents lower at prices.

Now when we renovated the whole gas station and convenience store we started getting more customers at the same price or at 2 cents higher.

It's all in how a product or service is marketed.

@bunanson:

That's because the car parts are being used. The gas is burning for that time. The wheels are being worn.
Say you install new parts to old parts of a car or restore a car and it is equall as new as a new car, you would still be having to sell it for a reduced priced even though everything is new or restored. As for classic cars its different as they are rare.
There are different aspects to different products.

For final statement, I never had listed as the N800 to be NIB and I corrected the price because I made a mistake.

Yeah, when it works. Sorry, for not stating that.

The warranty is from the product not from me.

I know I was about to say that.

It's that I got the product for 217 on eBay NIB. I think I did overly price it thanks for considering.
