Has anyone else had trouble with the sound quality of the bluetooth headset. I can get it to work, (i found having no other apps running makes sip work better) However the sound quality is pretty poor lots of crackle ect. The headset works fine with my phone (n70), though I can get the same problem if the headset it too far away from my phone. But even if I touching the tablet I still get the problem.

This has been discussed here before. It has been found that wireless network connections can cause the interference because the frequency of the bluetooth connection is so close to the wlan.

Thanks ronef or the reply.

That seems to be more of answer than a solution! Futhermore, If it was the wifi would I not get the same problem using my mobile phone in the same area, I only get the problem with the tablet?

Got to be something else, or is the emiter on the tablet is not that good?

BT and WiFi both use 2.4Ghz, your cell phone does not use the same frequency unless it's actively on a WiFi network. There are some BT headsets that, in theory, work better than others by avoiding the WiFi signals. I say theory because I have yet to see one in action.

I just use the nice wired headset/mic from Nokia as the sound quality is great for calling.

^edit, I see I was a little slow to reply....

Your cell phone uses a different frequency so it isn't a problem with BT. I'll take their word that the problem with us is that the WiFI is clashing with BT. I had the same problem and after playing with BT on pcs I've decided that for me at least, BT isn't suitable for most things. I've stopped trying to make it work on the NIT except on rare occasion. Some of those ear things work better on the NIT than others however.

As for a solution I can't provide a good one except what I've done is to go back to a wired headset. I then get stereo along with phone controls. To make it more comfortable I spliced a normal headset to the provided mic/pendent. Not ideal because of wires but works better than a BT headset.
