does anybody know if aireplay-ng works on the nokia 770.

That is to say can I use it to perform packet injections ?

My decision to purchase one sort-off hinges on it you see!

Thanks guys

do you have any idea if aireplay-ng actually works correctly though ? (As in: can packets be injected with it)

Thanks.

Well, if the binary runs and has access to the wifi radio, there is no reason to assume it won't work, IMHO. Since I haven't yet felt the need to try to hack somebodys wifi, I don't know for sure. :P

Per the bottom of the app wiki entry:

(*): airmon-ng is not working, further investigation needed. Note also that airodump-ng will report non existant APs/ESSIDs and garbage. Not sure if the problem is with aircrack itself, or with wlan drivers.

(I ironically checked this out yesterday night too and saw that)

Ok thanks for that,
So does airodump capture 'good' data along with the 'bad/garbage' data then?

Its a shame that aireplay-ng may not work correctly though

I still think I will purchase one though, which I am sure you guys will recommend

Isnt the aircrack-ng problem just for OS2006 and not 2005?
(according to maemo.org, the 2005 version of aircrack-ng works as long as you are root)
