Hello, all!

I have released ColEm-Maemo 2.5 today. It emulates ColecoVision, a videogame console produced by Coleco in the 80s. You can get ColEm-Maemo from the Extras repository or here:

http://fms.komkon.org/ColEm

The source code is also available from the same page.

Very nice

Is there someway use controllers numberkeys. Most of games start with stylus, but some want choise 1-2 or something. I think that I had problem starting atleast Spy Hunter.

Maybe one day its also possible use external control pad with emulators with USB or bluetooth.

There is. Enable input cues from the menu and you will see that the middle of the display is the dialpad.

Should be possible now, if your BT keyboard generates correct events.

Yes. but with joystick or something like PS3 controller. Keyboard is not so good for action games. But your emulators are very nice.

I tryed Spectrum and MSX too.

Nice emulator. Any way to improve the speed? For example: BC's Quest For Tires.

I have checked both BCQT and BCQT2 and they both run at normal speed. Maybe you are running some other task in the background?

I rebooted to be sure, and it didn't make much of a difference. I'm running mnotify, omweather, sshd, and the ip desktop app in the background. 'top' doesn't show any of them as being a resource hog.

Can you recomend another rom I should try out for testing purposes?

You can try just about any ColecoVision ROM. They all run at full speed, AFAIK.

PS: You are using OS2008, right?

Yup, the latest OS2008 update on a N810. I managed to get it into an infinite reboot today, so I'll try Colem again with a fresh OS2008 install when I get a chance. I tried QFT on the Windows ColEm 2.5 emulator and confirmed it was running ~60-70% of full speed on the N810, along with choppy/sporatic sound.
