I'm a big fan of mind mapping and I use MindJet MindManger on PC.
Anyone has good recommendation of mind mapping application on N810? Are there any good ones in Python, web based or native app?

I tried some web based mindmaps. Basically Flash based sites seem to work

http://www.mindomo.com/
This works! It's a bit heavy but amazing. Flash based. Too bad export to MindManager is not free.

This works, too. I wish there is TAB key in keyboard...

Didn't work.

Here are some more to try: comapping.com, glinkr.net, mindmaps.kayuda.com, mappio.com, mindmeister.com, wisemapping.com, webofweb.net

I dunno if the web-based diagrammers would work. You could try these, they have features to support drawing mind maps: cumulatelabs.com/cumulatedraw/, flowchart.com, gliffy.com

Another one to look at is:

http://www.gnome.org/~dscorgie/labyrinth.html

It's written in Python and uses GTK+ so with a little work it might just be usable as a native application on Maemo (if someone hasn't already done the work...)

I paid big bucks for MindJet myself!

In the Linux world, I like kdissert, but it's kde.

In the Windows world, I also like Brainstorm and thebrain.

and in byegone times, Grandview. Among many others.

Notecase is about as close as you can get in the N800 world.

But Mind42 was ok...

Thank you Vic, Darren, muki and geneven for your proposals!

Among all proposals, MindMeister seem to work best on N810 and I decided to try it out more.
http://www.mindmeister.com

Other sites I tried:
http://www.comapping.com
runs but very heavy. doesn't fit to screen well

http://www.mappio.com
This is map uploader. Could be good as viewer of MindManager files?
Well, the MindManager viewer part is only for IE thus this is just
same as viewing picture file...

http://www.glinkr.net
http://mindmaps.kayuda.com
http://www.wisemapping.com
http://www.webofweb.net
didn't seem to work on N810

labyrinth is a potential but probably fall between web based heavy but good looking mindmap and local light weight outline editor.
Treeline and Notecase: yes, outline format is easy to read on small display and it's quick.

You are reading my thoughts!
Just prepared Labyrinth port for maemo - http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/labyrinth/

Still no support for virtual keyboard thus N800 owners(like me) are out of luck. But it's highest priority for me, so it's just a matter of time. Also an application has a few places in code to crash, I'll fix it next few days, I promise

Anyone willing to help, feel free to contact me via garage page - http://garage.maemo.org/projects/labyrinth

Unfortunately, you cannot at the moment. The feature is still being discussed among Labyrinth's developers. And it's quite a demo version, there are bugs still not fixed.

www.mindmeister.com

Is the best choice I've found... works almost seamlessly.

You can export to PDF GIF Freemind and more...
