Hello everyone,

I got a new N800 today and it worked fantastic when I first turned it on. However it seems like after every "shut down", I need to remove the battery in order to get the unit started again. It simply won't turn on without battery removal. Is this a sign of the device being defective, or is this something can be fixed by updating the OS? thank you all for your help.

Sounds like a problem some of us have had in the past. You need to update to the newest OS version and that will take care of it. See this thread. But most importantly this. Almost at the end of the post there are 2 links to download the file to flash. That should take care of your problem. It worked perfectly for me and I haven't had that problem ever since.

Good luck
