so filebrowser is supposed to automatically mount samba shares and show them in a "shared folders" item in the tree, right? i'm on a network with both samba shares from a linux box and shared folders on windows, and nothing is showing up. none of them are password protected.

is there something i have to do to connect to these?

i think any kind of group or user permissions will get in the way. basically, ANY measure of security will prevent you from accessing the smb share from within the file manager.

search for "cifs.ko" and see if that helps you.

i think its more or less broke although i could see samba servers i was unable to actually open anything. i think,you should mount it manually
