It was fairly easy to pair my iGo stowaway keyboard with my n800 running OS2008. Just had to make sure it was in pairing mode. Once it is paired it works great... for a little while. But as soon as I'm idle for a bit it disconnects. When I goto the bluetooth menu and hit connect it IMMEDIATELY says connection failed. I mean is less than .1 secs. The only way I can use it is if i delete the entry and then re-pair it. I have to keep doing this over and over. So many people have said that iGo keyboards are the best with the n800, but I can't get past this serious issue. Please help!

You shouldn't need to press connect anywhere.

When it disconnects the keyboard, just start typing on the keyboard anyway. Keyboard lights will flash and N800 should autoconnect to it without you doing anything.

I have noticed the same problem lately with my n800. I have been using the iGo for a few months now with no problems.

This week I have had the exact same problem you have described.

I think it may be that the batteries are not seated properly. I have noticed that after the keyboard gets disconnected, the lights on the keyboard no longer light up.

I have had some luck re-seating the batteries.

Not sure why it started happening all of the sudden?

Any one else?

I SOLVED IT!!!! The problem is you can't have a device name with spaces in it. My keyboard was detected as a "Think Outside Keyboard" When I re-paired it I also renamed it to "iGo". Now I have no troubles. Hope this post helps out others with similar problems.

I have also been upset with the pairing on my iGo and n810.
Recently I paired it up, worked with it for a while, shut everything down.
The next day i opened it up it was not recognized, I started to try and pair it again (putting in the numbers etc.) went and deleted it, and was going to put it in again. Got interrupted.
Now, about 4 days later I went to use it after seeing this thread.
Press the control fn fn keys, go to devices, the think outside was not there, however the keyboard works. But if I go to new devices it doen't show up.
Wierd, I'll probably go in and delete the nokia bt devices.

I usew my iGo almost every day & haven't experienced any problems. I set up the keyboard according to the first post of this thread & all I have to do when I first open it up is to start typing, it just works. If I don't use it for a bit, I just hit a key & wait for a minute for it to wake up & I'm off again. It shows properly in my list of bluetooth devices. HTH
