I did a search on this and only found two solutions, install Canola or another file manager that I've forgotten the name of. I'm a Linux idiot but quite familiar with windows. I can't see any file manager setting that will allow me to see and delete stuff like config files. I've found applications like OMWEATHER that I uninstall leave config files that I'd like to get rid of. If I have to install another file manager, will Canola provide enough functionality to find and delete these files (I realize Canola is not primarily a file manager but I'd like to keep this simple if possible. Thanks

Thanks I was kind of scared off that one after reading some reviews re complexity and UI

OS 2008 comes with the most versatile filemanager preinstalled: XTerminal.
It has a steep learning curve, but once you know it, you'll never want to miss it anymore.

FAIL!!!

The filemanager isn't the xterm, it's the shell; also, Nokia unfortunately didn't see fit to provide tcsh...

(Just giving you a rough time, of course. )

LOL, you're right. The file manager is a set of Busybox plugins. XTerminal is just the user-friendly frontend to these tools.
