"Erminig doesn't respond, do you want to close?"

Don't close !
Erminig is surely downloading a big Google calendar.
Erminig freezes during this step.

You can limit the limit date when adding a profile. So, there will be fewer events to download.

David.

Thank you, I did more test late last night and this morning and everything seems to work correctly now. One thing I didn't realize before this morning: I can't update(sync) while Calendar is not loaded otherwize it kinda freeze and is not responding.
But if I load Calendar the update is quite fast and everything is OK.
I did limit the download to Jan 1st so it didn't have to much to download.

Great tool.
Merci beaucoup pour ce petit bijou! Serait-il possible de synchroniser les alarmes? Merci.

Pas de synchro des alarmes,
Il ne devrait plus y avoir d'évolution sur cette appli.

Désolé.

Hi Guys,

Just tried installing erminig. Installed ok, but after starting up once, it is failing to launch now.

I think it may have something to do with my entering in something incorrectly on the config perhaps. Getting some sort of error from command line launch after it finds a couple of bits from google.

Before I start pasting things from the command line output for debugging etc. anyone able to point me to some config files I can delete to make it start like the first time ?

I tried uninstall, reinstall but that did not work, so I am guessing the config files are not deleted...

Thanks,

zuber

While I am glad to see that Ermining works for most people it does not for me, and I have given the author my report and sent him my events file so that he could correct a re-occurring events issue. So, until that is fixed, Ermining is not a solution for me.

With that said, I have used the GPE builtin sync function without fail (and yes it does my re-occurring events perfectly) until yesterday. With out any additional changes to my N800 (ie no software upgrades), the sync suddenly stopped working with the "can not resolve hostname" that the original poster of this thread had problems with. I would like to know if anyone has solved that specific problem without resorting to using Ermining? I have modified that sync options with the ICAL entry from Google several times and continue to get the same issue. And yes, the network connection is up (I did a copy and paste from the ICAL entry from the Google web page on the tablet). If this is a GPE calendar bug, I can open a ticket, but was wondering if there is something configuration-wise that can be changed that might make this work again.

As a side note, Erminig was working for me, too with no problems, and just recently it has started to not perform correctly. Have not had to much time to hunt down the issue.

Thor

Anybody else have the same issue or know how to resolve it??
I had this exact problem yesterday. I found out that I had started the GPE calendar application before going online. So, I turned off the Nokia, turned it back on, went online, and THEN started the calendar application. Worked great then.

Bingo, that was it. I leave calendar running and that must have been it. I didn't reboot the device, but shutdown calendar, then started up the network connection, then brought up the calendar and sure enough it went through the sync. THANKS!

Now, if there was some indication (ie, progress bar, rotating dot, something) that it was in the process of syncing, then I think it would be complete...(for me)...
