First, I'm a complete noob when it comes to Linux... I've spent the entire day trying to get my N800 to map drives on a Vista machine (different thread) and my HP MV2020 NAS box, which is running the Linux 2.4 kernel. I've tried to mount the drives both via command line, and the Wizard Mounter, with no success. When I try to mount the drive with NFS, I get permission denied. When I try to mount the drive with Samba, I get:

[mount] Ops! An error occurred:
mount //192.1.1.1/hpmediavault/ is write-protected, mounting read only
mount: mounting //192.1.1.1/hpmediavault on /home/user/MyDocs/Remote_Filesystem/hpmedivault@192.1.1.1 failed

I have all the credentials and user accounts properly set.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Never mind. Several hours later I realized my remote directory path was incorrect because I was using DOS file paths, you know: \\hpmediiaserver\... rather than /shares/Volume1/...
