Arrg! Ok, so I updated mYTube and now it no longer works. It played a few videos well at first. Then all of a sudden it stopped playing a video mid stream. I decided to skip that video and play another video but the app said something like "Aaaa! I cannot create storage. Check rights". This is one of the things I hate about linux, drives always get set to read only for no reason. Well, this one was particularly shocking because my Patriot 8GB flash card was set to the default FAT32 and I never changed it.
I put the card in my computer and saw that all the files were set to read only. I unchecked read only, but when I looked back it still said read only. I then put the card back into the N810 and started up mYTube. It said "mYTube started" in the corner, but mYTube never actually started. I turned off the N810 and tried again twice, and the same thing happened so this is no coincidence. Why does updating any app in maemo have to be such risky business. I should have stayed with the older version, as I had no problems with it.
