I am trying to strengthen the simple-launch with the transparent effect. but i have no idea onn how to implement it. i have tried to use cairo with it,but the main hbox's window reference is null. any one here can help?Thanks.
The software keyboard is so bad, why not nokia provides one common layout software keyboard?

I looked at this at one point too. I think the hbox is transparent anyway. The white background isn't due to the hbox, but rather the ancestor widget (I can't recall if it is a window or a special hildon widget in the case of home applets).

I think my stumbling block to implementing this was the fact that I haven't dealt with C++ in such a long time. I prefer to work with plain ol' C at this point. Hope you have better luck!

As for the hbox, as I referenced the implementation of omweather, it supports transparency without extra control, the only difference i can see is from the hbox. correct me if i am incorrect. thanks.
