just got my n800 one week ago, nice tablet, some (noob) questions:

0, english is not my native, so forgive me for my poor english at first

1, i can't get samba working, the share has no password, but the internal mount -t cifs just give me a simple error, i searched the forum and found some comments on this topic involving a cifs kernel module, but they are quite old now, i wonder if they applies to OS2k8

2, how's the wifi speed? since i can't get samba work, i used ncftp to test the speed, over my office ethernet, it gives me about 300KB/s downloading, is that normal? my notebook gives me about 2.5~2.7MB/s, it's 802.11g right? my X51v with 802.11b gives me a 320KB/s

3, i add chinese font manually, by making a symbol link in the /usr/share/font directory, and fc-cache -f -v, the font was successfully loaded, i can see chinese characters mostly everywhere, the microb browser, the file manager, fbreader, but, still an exception, the title bar, it still shows square brackets containing numeric codes

4, FBreader can't find my book files, i tried to edit the library path to contain only one path "/media/mmc2/Books/" but still no luck, so i have to add the file manually

5, the mount output is like:
Code:
//...
/dev/mmcblk0p1 on /media/mmc2 type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,uid=29999,fmask=0133,dmask=0000,codepage=cp437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=mixed,utf8)
/dev/mmcblk1p1 on /media/mmc1 type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,uid=29999,fmask=0133,dmask=0000,codepage=cp437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=mixed,utf8)
and /etc/fstab contains such a line:
Code:
/dev/mmcblk0p1  /media/mmc1 vfat rw,noauto,nodev,noexec,nosuid,utf8,uid=29999 0 0
is that normal? i mean differences between the device <=> directory relationship and the mounting parameters.

thanks in advance
