Hi - I recently updated maemo on my nokia n810 with the nokia wizard app and then tried to install some programs with application manager. When I click on 'Browse available Apps' it opens a page that says 'no available apps'. It does not give me any options to search for available apps, so I don't know what to do. The application manager was working before I flashed it. Everything else is working fine. Any ideas?

Also, short of that, where can I find gnumeric to install on the tablet?

Thanks
Taris

Sorry, please disregard this, it is working now. I went to the maemo.org through my browser and installed xournal, and now the application manager works as it used to. Maybe something about installing a catalogue. But I don't know why it wouldn't give me the option to do this before. Anyway, I love this site and the n810.

You guessed right! :-) Welcome to the site by the way...

You do need to install at least one catalogue (aka repository or repo) in order to browse installable apps on the App Manager. When you installed Xournal it added a catalogue to the app manager as part of the installation process, so you were then able to see more apps in the App Manager.

That's part of the reason I recommend using maemo.org's downloads section instead, because you don't need to install any catalogues in order to see what's available. The App Manager is less user-friendly in this respect.
