I have had my tablet for a few days now (IT2006 loaded), and twice I've noticed hearing the Nokia startup song across the room when it wasn't in use.

In both cases, the device was in "sleep" mode with the cover on (magnet turns the screen off). It wasn't in fully "off" mode.

I've just re-loaded the IT2006 OS to start fresh to see if it happens again, without any apps/hacks/mods/etc loaded.

I called the nokia support today. they asked me to upgrade to OS2006 and see wether it solves the problem. I shall do it this week if i get the time, but I don't expect this to work.
i'll tell you then.

Well, I just installed OS2006. I don't know yet if it'll work, but at least it's nicer and less buggy. wait and see...

It's been 3 days now, during which I didn't use my 770, and it haven't turned on...
So, the solution seems to be upgrading.
I shall report here any future similar incident.

Guess I better get on with the OS2006 upgrade.
