I don't believe there's a way to do it in yahoo unfortunately 
You might consider switching to gmail... Using gmail when you move an item to the trash it's not explicitly deleted until you say so.

contact yahoo and ask very nicely if they can check their server backup media...
I just looked and the trash bin is clean with nothing inside it.
Is there any way to find this lost message again or am I completely corkscrewed?
