I have been having problems connecting to my webmail (squirrelmail) and I noticed I am also intermittently having problems with work email. It will just hang after typing user and password, I am not sure if it is a post problem, or some other problem? Often if I click the login button several times it will log in. Now my home webmail will not work at all, its like it is degrading over time. I turned off cache and tried with and without ssl2 nothing seems to make a difference.

Has anyone else had any similar issues? I can access these sites without issues from other systems, so it is the 770 that seems to be having issues?

Any ideas?

But why is this happening to begin with. I went to /home/user and I moved .opera to .opera1

I then restarted the browser which created a new .opera folder in /home/user

I then went to my webmail site and was able to log in and see my mail. That is really wierd, I will have to go through .opera1 and try to figure out why it was failing.

STRANGE!!

I have similar problem with my webmail (Optimum Online). It just hangs after having entered the id and password. However if I click on the reload icon (while it is hanging) it will successfully (however slowly) access the site properly. This was also happening the same way in OS2005.
I will try the trick of renaming the .opera file.

I've sometimes seen this too, Opera just doesn't continue with the loading. I usually just hit reload and things work.
