Yeah, her birthday is next month... so I told her this was an early present for me.

I originally planned to start my midlife crisis and buy myself a Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible, but got hit by a wave of practicality at the last minute. Mini SUV for the wife instead. *sigh*

You married saps know what I mean.

I did the oposite. My wife doesn't drive much so fuel economy wasn't an issue, and I have a biggish car so space wasn't an issue. After coming round with me when I wanted a mitsubishi FTO, she decided she wanted one so eventually that is what we got her. Since getting it about 4 months ago, I have done ten times the mileage that she has in it!
