I think it depends on how complex your Google calendar is. I also wanted a one-way sync from Google to gpe-calendar. When I did it, it "succeeded", but there were LOTS of events (about 150) that had been deleted from one of my Google calendars that showed up in gpe-calendar. So for me it wasn't perfect.

Erminig did a much better job with deleted events. It's still not perfect, but I use it in one-way mode since it does a "better" job than the subscribe function built into gpe-calendar.

Good point. This does work, but is one-way, or at least as far as I can tell. I tested this sometime back, but hadn't tried since a re-flash so i thought what-the-hell and gave it a go.

Indeed, the "subsrcibe" feature works (but I used the private since my 'public' calendar isn't 'published'. Then the 'Publish' feature in GPE did not work at least not to that url....more tinkering required

For now, I prefer Erminig because I want the two-way sync. I do sometimes make appointments on my IT and snyc up later when I'm connected to the net. Kudos to the author, David Hautbois for paving the way, and to those who have picked it up and put it in the garage. Thanks.

Gotcha. Well, I just wanted to post just in case. I know sometimes I've missed the obvious before and it wasn't until someone spoke up and said something! Anyway, I was just putting in my .02 but I see why erminig is needed. And even though I don't use it, I'm glad to see someone else has picked it up to keep it going. I wish a lot of projects where like that

I guess I'll have to revisit this, because the last few times I've tried erminig hasn't been able to add an entry that to google that I entered on my tablet. Just haven't had the time to look into the problem yet. Now that you guys are reporting that it works for you, it must be a problem on my end, so at least I know where to start. tx

I've been a user of erminig for several months now and have found it very useful. Recently I tried adding a new calendar on my N810, but the application unexpectedly closed. I have been unable to load the program from my application list. I have read they you can load erminig in xterm, but I don't know xterm language. Can anyone help? Sorry if this is too newbie of a question.

Thanks,
bmy

All you need to do is open a terminal & enter the program you want to run, in this case 'erminig' (without the quotes). The messages that fill the terminal is what a dev would be interested in. HTH

Which version of Erminig are you using?

I had the same problem, and eventually the author of the program answered my question here in the forum

http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...hlight=erminig

...simply delete the erminig config file in home/user and it will work, or at least it did for me. BTW, when it wouldn't load, I used xterm to run it to see the logfile, and posted the results, which is apparently how he knew what to suggest.

Also FYI, I just tested Erminig (0.2.9-1)again and can confirm, the two-way sync works perfectly for me. Of course I don't have any recurring events...
