Ok, I'm pretty new to debian packaging but I'm confused why some required packages aren't getting installed.

When I did my chrony port, I noticed that libreadline4 was required to install. My package won't install unless libreadline4 is installed first.

How can I force libreadline4 to be installed as well as my package?

(a manual "apt-get install libreadline4" installs the package, so I know there is one available)
