Hmm interesting - still a few things to sort out it seems, but they seem relatively minor - which version of software is on your device? is it the latest available?

received my 770 today. Writing this posf from this amazing device right now.
So my first impressions.
I opened the box, plugged in the battery and memory card. Then went thru the wizard. Wasn't interested at internet access with phone, so aborted this and did setup the language and the other stuff. After that i looked at the wlan settings and it found 5 wireless lans here. One was mine from over my linksys router. So selected this Wlan, entered the 128bit key and pressed connect. Now the device rebooted. I assume it crashed. So went to the settings again, the key was stored. So set this network as default and connected. No problems at all. Could not work better. It shows always low signal, but works perfect in the whole house. Even better than my dlink card in the pc. So i think the display with signal strength is buggy here.
Then i started the webbrowser and browsed to my own and some other favorite pages. AMAZING, have not seen ant better browser yet on a ppc or other embedded decives. Have seen "opera" in the path of the helpfiles. So must be a opera browser. All pages render like on a deskto p pc. PERFECT WORK. The zoom anf full screen mode is fantastic.
So went to email and did setup an acoount with pop3. Works great too and is very easy to use.
All i can say for mow is: l'm impressed from this amazing device. And i know what im talking about. Had many other devices before. Im looking forward so see many cool apps for this device, and try to write own apps or port some applications from linux.

To any of the devs -
Jan mentions a possible RAM shortage for certain memory heavy websites. Pardon my naievety but can the device make use of the RS-MMC for overage? I know I've seen an out of memory error when surfing to a similar webpage on my older PPC running Windows Mobile 2003, but I always thought that there should be a way to utilize memory cards kind of like how Windows uses Virtual Memory on laptops and desktops. Any hope for this on the Nokia? Playing devil's advocate, you could argue that:
A) Any device like this can't cordon off a chunk of space on a removable memory card for virtual ram usage like it could on internal memory.
B) The fact that memory is removable makes the availability of such memory temporary and could lead to crashes if the card was removed while the virtual RAM was in use.
What do you folks think?

If this version of Opera is anything like the full version then you should be able to move all the temporary folders to a mem card. They did that when they made the thumb drive version of Opera.

The open .dbx files and email recovery has prompted you a path of the Outlook Express files' storage. And now save the damaged dbx files in the safe folder, they can be useful.
