Tried mplayer with a video of 352x208 with 25 fps and 1 pass encoding. Works perfectly. I only did a very short clip yesterday and I will try out a full length one tonight.

I get "failed" when I use this on Ubuntu.
Here is the output from the command line. Don't know if this helps or not. I tried various options checked and unchecked, but it always fails.
