Hi,

With latest nokia firmware I have decided to give another try to canola2. I installed it and all its plugins.

Now I need to know how I can import my current podcast list into canola. I have an OPML file ready for that but where can I add it ?

Regards

Yeah, I know that people hate when this happens, but we cannot do all the features at the same moment : / While we do think podcast is REALLY important and we have a lot of importance to it, we still facing problems with the scanner, we were fixing mp3 tagging problems..etc, so some small bits here and there get's "cut" from beta to beta.

We did support opml on canola1 : / we know how to do it as we want it's more time than anything else.

I don't know if this helps but we can do a small python app for you that adds your opml file to the DB do you want?

Marcelo

Update: we are already doing this small app for those interested

yes, that sounds great. thank you.

especially if the up could just refresh the list of installed podcasts (following this usage pattern):

- User has a master app to listen & subscribe
- export from that app ALL podcasts when it's time to update the list on different devices (phone, tablet etc)

I can beta test if needed.

Sounds good to me since importing an OPML file is a once-operation (when imported, my file will be trashed).

Thank you

hi sorry for the time out...

here goes the small script

this is how you use it (unzip to a folder, open xterm and )

Usage:
python ./getfeeds.py opmluri [dbfile]
The default value for dbfile is "/home/user/.canola/canola.db"

The uri is the location of you opml t make things easier put the script on the same folder and just give the opml file name there

Let me know f any trouble@
