I have one problem about installing gst-plugins-bad. When I try the instructions in http://maemo.org/development/documen...ultimedia.html to install OGG Vorbis, after I make install in Tremor folder, I can only see libvorbisidec.a & libvorbisidec.la in /usr/lib, libvorbisidec.so does not exist. Then when I "make -C ext/ivorbis install" on gst-plugins-bad-0.10.5, it also just gets libgstivorbis.a & libgstivorbis.la in usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/, not .so file found. What is problem?
I just want to install libgstxvid.so on Nokia N810, which dependences lib does it need? And where to get the lib? How to install it on N810?

If I understand your question correctly, you want to play OGG Vorbis files on your N810 right?

If that's so, there's a one-click deb available from here that will add OGG Vorbis support to the platform:

The page you referenced is for developing application on the device, which doesn't sound like what you're looking for.

Thanks for the quick reply! I am sorry, maybe I make you misunderstand. I just use OGG vorbis as one example ; ) My application is to develop one program with Gstreamer to play the real time camera video on one rtsp server. Just like the followed coding:
appdata->pipeline = gst_parse_launch ( "rtspsrc name=my_rtspsrc ! rtpmp4vdepay ! xviddec ! ffmpegcolorspace ! xvimagesink sync=0", &error );
But when I check my scratchbox armel and Nokia N810, it only installed gst-plugin-base & gst-plugin-good. Because xviddec plugin is in gst-plugin-bad (libgstxvid.so). Therefore, I need to install this xvid plugin in my scratchbox and N810. But when I install gst-plugins-bad, it only generate libgstxvid.a & libgstxvid.la (libgstxvid.so does not exist). I don`t know which descrepency lib is needed by libgstxvid, or I miss some steps of installation? Thanks!

Hmm... I can't see that you're doing anything wrong. However I don't have any experience working with gstreamer... I'm sorry I can't be of more help :/

one thing you can try to do is download the source for gstreamer-plugins-bad.xvid and try to compile the .so yourself?

Thanks for your reply, when I "make -C ext/xvid install", it show xvid.h does not exist. Is there some dependency lib required before install xvid plugin? Thanks!
