I've tried searching for these problems, but haven't found these yet. I just upgraded to Diablo yesterday, and in trying to get my apps reinstalled, I've run into a couple hitches.

1. trying to install Other Weather, I get an error that says I have a dependency on libssl0.9.7. I have searched the better part of the afternoon and can't find where to download/install this lib file. I'm sure this is an easy problem, but I'm still learning Linux, so it seems everything is a challenge.

2. I use the clock and alarm all the time. After the upgrade, my alarm goes off, but has no sound. I have sound everywhere else, and I can hear the sound when I pick which sound file to use, just not when the alarm goes off. I have checked the volume levels everywhere I can think of, but can get no sound when the alarm goes off.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

1. Open Application Manager and go to Tools >> Application catalog
Edit 'maemo Extras' and add 'chinook' to the distribution field. Then try installing OMWeather.

For future reference, if you need to find what repository a package is in, you can search for it at http://gronmayer.com/it/ and install the repository.

I have the same issue with the alarm.....I've almost missed work twice thinking I just slept through it but I know there is no sound. Maybe we should file a bug report? Probably don't have enough time or care enough to do it. I'll just use my cell phone to wake up.

To get OM Weather to work in Diablo, you can install OM Weather 0.20.4 then OM Weather 0.20.5.

You can find both online: OM Weather

My alarm works fine; in fact, better than before b/c now it is much easier to pick your own sound file - you can wake up to an MP3 or your choice...

Yes, this is a known problem because Diablo includes libssl0.9.8 instead of libssl0.9.7. The latest OMWeather has this dependancy fixed tho.

After I plug some headphones in and out my sound, which isn't working for my whole system after upgrade, comes back. Problem is that it only comes back for a few seconds, then it's back to silenceville. Same issue as above, just system-wide. Any help?
