Ok, so last night, I was viewing the video clips that were already samples for the tablet. And I was wondering how would I be able to upload a movie from my computer to the tablet. But when I plugged the USB in I couldn't find those 'sample videos' that were already on there. BUT, they were on my regular PC file. Along with the movie I want to upload. But it's not transferring to the tablet. Do you guys get me? Can someone help me?

I paid $20 to download DVD Catalyst 3 which converts my favorite movies to a 400 x 240 avi file. Just one program does it all. l.transfer them to a folder named movies on my removable SD flash memory. The PC cannot view any files located in system folders, just your own added memory.

i dont get it. so it's as simple as transfering files as if you were to put songs onto your cell phone?

Best to convert them to 400x240 beforehand.

On my N800 the sample video that was loaded when I flashed the operating system is in a system folder called video clips. Use the file manager to copy your sample video from that folder to the internal memory or the removable memory card. Now when using the USB cable, you desktop computer can see that video file and you can copy it to you desktop computer to play. Remember the N800 and N810 will not play 800 x 480 videos. 400 x 240 work great.

Okay... let's see... when you plug your USB cable into your tablet and your computer,
the memory cards of your tablet should mount as "Removable Drives" on your computer. Once you've got them mounted, you can just drag and drop videos over to the tablet.
Then, eject the removable drive(s) that correspond to your tablet and unplug the USB cable. Now, on your tablet you should be able to open the media player and look on the memory cards for the video files.
The transcoding reference is because the tablet can't play videos above 400x240 without some playing around. So make sure your videos are in low resolution, and if they aren't, then use the video converter mentioned earlier in this thread
