Could someone tell me where I might find the whois utility that is usually part of *nix. I would like to install it or the package in which it is contained, but I can't find it. apt-get install can't find it. Any help appreciated. I am writing a small script to have the N810 "call home" (send a file with info on it's current ip address) in case it were to get stolen. being able to use whois would really help in this case.

OK, my bad. I must have added the correct repository because now I have whois after doing an apt-get install whois.
