hi:
wife has an icon on the desktop :: os 2008 user site.

being new to linux, she wants to know how to delete it..

how do you delete anything , for that matter?

That's just an applet, though, so the easy approach is to open the menu from the home screen, and choose Select applets..., and deselect it.

Dont do rm anything!!! Do the second thing that Benson said. Using the rm command can be very dangerous if you don't know what you are doing (rm means remove). I had a friend delete every file from his hard drive before because he was dumb enough to do

sudo rm -rf /
and wiped his system (almost)...

linux is new to both of us...
i did search, only got answers for maemo things..
thanx for your patience..

the more we mess w/n800, the more we both like it..
using my phone on a 3g connection, the comination is really effective..
thanx again..

fortunately, i dunno how to run commands or how to get to a command to run things..
