i've had my nokia n810 for a few months and i used it on a road trip to watch some videos and the battry life was low so i turned it off and put it away then when i return to power up my device. the nokia screen pops up and the blue bar loads up then it flashes and repeats the same cycle over and over even powered to the charger and after a hard reset, i'm lost and any knowledge of a solution will be greatly appreciated. This phone has been my life and now i'm slowly dyin, lol but seriously if anyone can help please hook me up.

This sounds like a great time to flash to Diablo, the latest version of the N810 software.

did you try taking the battery out for a while? sometimes it takes longer than usual to boot up, just hang in there

this actually sounds more like a reset loop - probably due to some app you installed or some change you made to a config file just before your problems started. I think geneven has the right idea - you most likely need to reflash.

I assume you don't dual boot - if by chance you do - you could try to boot into your original OS and then see if you can find the offending app/file in your clone and fix it from there. If you do not dual boot then disregard everything I just said and you'll need to reflash.

Sorry, no, this answer is incorrect in so many ways.

I've got this same problem just now, the last application I installed is Skype. Is there any real solution to this without reflashing my IT?

Seems a lot of people have this problem, including me :-(. Did noone try to return the device to the dealer/Nokia? Any experiences?

Well... There is something about changing batteries.

Of course, not everybody has a contract with the Ghostbusters, but if you open the hood and take the battery away: well... they can just go away, those nasty creeps.

Seriously, I had the problem for the first time last Saturday, changed my battery and the problem was gone (OK: for now). Repetition not guaranteed.

NB: If my Avatar was stuck; we used to practice the so-called 10 cm method: lift the (heavy) thing 10 cm and then drop it. Should not work, but it did.

There are no wrong answers, but there are different perspectives.

The n810 is very strong anyway, it has survived many falls (due to me) easily!
