Looks like they released some sources. The 2008HE image is maybe the same old.
There's a new 2007HE though (4.2008.7-1), unless it came out before and i missed it.

These are sources to reproduce hacker edition. The hacker2008-sources.tar.gz archive is quite interesting and it may be wise for some people to cache it (check the README and please don't rock the boat too much ;-)
